Russia Cuts European Oil Supply

OilRussia has now completely cut oil supplies to Germany, Poland, and Ukraine after shutting down the Druzhba pipeline. Russia blames Belarus, who was illegally siphoning off the oil. Although this has no enormous effect on Europe’s imported oil supplies, it could have long term effects that invariably increase a rise in prices.

Belarus blames Russia for failure to pay the costly transit cost for moving oil through the country. For payment, Belarus took the liberty of taking portions of the transported oil. Russia does not abide by these payments stating them against the law. “Last week Belarus said it would charge Russia $45 (£23) per tonne of oil that passed through its country.” (BBC)

Germany is concerned that with the closure of the pipeline. The Druzhba pipeline running from Russian through Belarus and Eastern Europe may have a drastic effect on Germany, Poland, and Ukraine.

This is yet another of the bullying tactics used against other, usually smaller nations, and the people of Russia by the plutocratic dictatorship that Russia has become. To be honest, I don’t see it as an improvement on the “bureucratically degenerated workers state”, as Trotsky put it, it used to be. At least then everyone had a job and noone starved. Now, after it was basically used as a guinea pig for extreme free market ubercapitalism after the fall of “communism” (not my communism), the whole country is in the hands of a few incredibly wealthy plutocrats, who control most of the nations industry and economy, and a new dictatorship under Putin and co, who are centralising power even more than it was under Stalinism, and without even the pretence of good purpose.

This is for Toma, I left a final remark on Skarbutts for you. You should know that I am married to the owner of that blog…just in case you didn’t know…

Thanks Jael, and complements on both of your blogs. I think we can now agree to disagree I hope? I’m not out to convert anyone to communism, I’m just showing what it is and my take on it. It’s a leave it or take it situation.

I have to say that although, most of the people that read this blog or write for it are already graduates and at higher levels of intelligence.

On the current post, does China get a lot of its oil from Russia or directly the middle east? And the US is doing the same type of ‘bullying’ to countries such as Cuba, not just oil but other trade imports/exports.

Married to ‘R.A. Sprinkle’ who wrote ‘Ideo-Fascism: The Fourth Reich’ on a wordpress site called ‘Skarbutts’?

If so, I would very much like to write a review of the article.

yes, I am married to SKarbutts. I am also one of his louder critics when it comes to his writing structure and grammar, as well as a few of his ideas. I stopped by to see what happened to you. We had quite a dialogue going.
