The strong man is not for everyone…if everyone were strong then no one would be strong. We each have a perspective to contribute..if everryone was capitalist there would be no such thing as communism…and if everyone were communist there would be no such thing as communism. But there will always be capitalism as long as human beings breath upon this planet… primitive economics (like the laws of gravity) is pretty much non-negotiable. If I work, I eat. If I don’t work, I die of starvation unless I can convince someone else to work to feed both me and themselves. And why would they do that unless I had something to offer them? And if what I have to offer them is not as good as what they offer me, who is capitalizing on the situation? You cannot remove capitalism from real life. It is impossible. Toma, you make me laugh. The Islamic Courts Union did not invade Somalia, it was formed from within, when the various Sharia (fundamentalist Koranic law) courst within Somalia began fielding militias, and they united to form one big force, which seized control of much of Somalia, ousting the US backed warlords from the capital, Mogadishu. Somalia has been without central government since the ousting of its dictator in the early 90s, and at the very least, the Coursts fighters provided security. However, with it came religious repression, with documented cases of women being forced to wear veils, and at the time of the Football World Cup, many places were banned by the militias from showing it, as it was "immoral". The relatively weak central government launched an offensive against the Courts, and Christian Ethiopia, worried about an Islamic state on its border, moved in to support them. The Courts have been driven back, and only time will tell whether the provisional government (UN backed) can maintain security and peace in lawless Mogadishu. Ethiopia was acting in its own interests, but I believe the people of Somalia will be better of under a mostly secular government than a new Taleban. Not quite, Toma.
